One Liberty Observation Deck

Observation Deck · Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The fifty-seventh floor of One Liberty Place, opened to the public in 2015, giving a 360-degree view over Philadelphia from around 880 feet. The building matters as much as the view: when it topped out in 1987 it broke the unwritten Gentlemen's Agreement that no structure in the city should rise above the hat of the William Penn statue on City Hall — an agreement kept for eighty-odd years, and one whose breach the city blamed for a twenty-one-year drought in its sports championships.

1650 Market Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19103, United States

Open daily, generally from late morning until well after dark, with the last admission before closing. Timed tickets online or at the lobby desk. Reached through the lobby of a working office building on Market Street. Sunset slots on clear summer evenings are the ones that sell.
