Parc Omega
Privately Operated Wildlife Park · Montebello, Quebec
A drive-through wildlife park in the Laurentian hills at Montebello, Quebec, about an hour and a quarter from Ottawa and an hour and a half from Montreal, ⚠ WHERE ELK AND WHITE-TAILED DEER WALK UP TO CAR WINDOWS FOR CARROTS SOLD AT THE ENTRANCE. A loop road of roughly a dozen kilometres winds past lakes and meadows with bison, wild boar, Alpine ibex, caribou and other North American species, while fenced areas hold black bears, grey and Arctic wolves. Walking trails lead to an old-time farm, a First Nations trail and viewpoints, and the park rents cabins where guests can watch the wolves from their windows. It opens year round, and winter visits bring animals in thick coats against the snow. The grand log Château Montebello is minutes away. ⚠ NEVER FEED OR LEAVE THE CAR NEAR BEARS, BOAR OR WOLVES, AND FOLLOW SIGNS ON WHERE WINDOWS MUST STAY CLOSED.
