Paris Mountain State Park

State Park · Greenville, South Carolina

A Civilian Conservation Corps park from 1935 sitting six miles from downtown Greenville, with seventeen miles of trail on a mountain that a city has since grown around. Its 1,275-acre historic district was added to the National Register in April 1998. It is the everyday outdoor park for a city of real size, and its defining rule is one most visitors never read: mountain biking is allowed every day except Saturday.
