Pensacola Beach

Beach · Pensacola Beach, Florida

A barrier island community on Santa Rosa Island with Gulf Islands National Seashore on both sides of it, which means the development is squeezed into a few miles and everything beyond is protected dune. The sand is the whitest in Florida — pure Appalachian quartz — and a 1960s water tower painted as a giant beach ball has become the island's unofficial monument.

735 Pensacola Beach Boulevard, Pensacola Beach, Florida, 32561, United States

Beach open daily. Lifeguard coverage is seasonal. The Bob Sikes Bridge to the island is a toll bridge.
