Perot Museum of Nature and Science
Science Museum · Dallas, Texas
A stack of concrete cubes in downtown Dallas by Thom Mayne, with an escalator running up the outside of the building, holding eleven permanent halls that run from dinosaurs through minerals, engineering, sport science and outer space. It is Dallas's science museum, it is aimed squarely at families, and its variety is its argument: nobody comes here for one thing.
