Six lanes of parkway between Sevierville and Gatlinburg, lined end to end with dinner theatres, go-kart tracks, mini-golf, outlet malls and museums, which exists in its present form because Dollywood is at one end of it. It is unashamed about what it is, it is extremely good at it, and for a large number of American families it is the holiday rather than the road to one. The Old Mill district at the southern end is the one piece of the town that predates all of it.

A public town, open at all times. Attractions generally 9 or 10 AM to 9 or 10 PM in season, with many reducing hours or closing in January and February. Dollywood is closed from early January to mid-March.
