An outdoor amphitheatre in the Oakland County hills, open since 1972 and for decades one of the busiest concert venues in the United States by attendance. It carried the DTE Energy name for twenty years and reverted to Pine Knob in 2022, to visible local relief — most of the audience never stopped calling it that.
