Playhouse Square
Theater District · Cleveland, Ohio
Eleven theatres over a few blocks of Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland, the largest performing arts centre in the United States outside Lincoln Center. Five of them were built within sixteen months of each other in 1921 and 1922, all faced demolition in the 1970s, and were saved by a volunteer campaign that became the largest theatre restoration project in the world.
1501 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, 44115, United States
A public street district, open at all times; the GE Chandler is free and outdoors. Theatre foyers open around performances only — check the season calendar for what is playing.
