PNC Park

Stadium · Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

A small baseball park opened on the North Shore in 2001, deliberately built for around thirty-eight thousand rather than the fifty a modern stadium would take, with only two decks so that the upper seats stay close to the field. It faces back across the Allegheny at the downtown skyline and the bridges, which is the reason it appears at or near the top of essentially every ranking of American ballparks that anyone publishes. The Roberto Clemente Bridge closes to traffic before games and the crowd walks over the river to get in.

115 Federal Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 15212, United States

Baseball season runs April to September, with the park closed to the public outside it apart from tours and events. Ballpark tours run on a published schedule in and out of season and must be booked ahead. The riverwalk behind the outfield is free and open on non-game days.
