Point Arena Lighthouse
Lighthouse · Point Arena, California
At 115 feet the tallest lighthouse on the West Coast that the public may climb, on a narrow headland in Mendocino County. The original tower cracked apart in the 1906 earthquake and the replacement was built in 1908 from reinforced concrete by a chimney company — the first lighthouse in America built that way, and it is still standing.
