Presque Isle River Waterfalls
Waterfall · Wakefield, Michigan
Three named falls — Manabezho, Manido and Nawadaha — dropping within a mile of each other through a gorge of dark, water-carved rock at the western end of the Porcupine Mountains, before the river reaches Lake Superior under a suspension footbridge. The rock here is sculpted into smooth potholes and chutes, and those potholes have killed people.
Presque Isle Unit, Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park, Wakefield, Michigan, 49968, United States
Trails open roughly May through October. Closed by snow in winter.
