Rainbow Springs State Park

Florida State Park · Dunnellon, Florida

A first-magnitude spring feeding the Rainbow River, and the best large swimming spring in Florida that still allows swimming at the head. The grounds are a leftover from its years as a private roadside attraction — man-made waterfalls built from old phosphate mine spoil, terraced gardens and azaleas — and the river below runs clear for six miles to Dunnellon.

19158 Southwest 81st Place Road, Dunnellon, Florida, 34432, United States

Open 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. The park closes early when capacity is reached. The tubing entrance runs its own seasonal hours.
