Rema-Kalenga Wildlife Sanctuary
Wildlife Reserve · Chunarughat, Sylhet
The largest and least-visited of the Sylhet hill forests - a sanctuary in the Habiganj border hills often described as the biggest remaining natural hill forest in Bangladesh outside the Sundarbans (a customary description; measurement varies by source). Rema-Kalenga has walking trails, a watchtower, forest-village communities and genuinely better biodiversity than its famous neighbours, wrapped in near-zero visitor infrastructure: getting there involves rough roads, arrangements are informal, and that is precisely why the forest is in the state it is. Seeded at the render floor deliberately - this row exists for the committed, and says so.
Kalenga Forest Office Road, Chunarughat, Sylhet, Bangladesh
Access through the Kalenga forest office during daylight hours, with informal ticketing and guide arrangement on arrival - no booking system and no published schedule; fee schedule UNVERIFIED. Dry season (November-March) is the practical window, as monsoon access roads are frequently impassable.
