Riverfront Park
Urban Park · Spokane, Washington
A hundred acres in downtown Spokane built on the site of the 1974 World's Fair, wrapped around the Spokane Falls - the largest urban waterfall in the United States by volume, running straight through the middle of the city. The fair site was itself a railway yard cleared for the event, and the park has been substantially rebuilt over the last decade. The falls in spring runoff are genuinely loud and are the reason to come.

Park and paths open daily from dawn until late, free. The SkyRide gondola, the carousel, the Numerica Skate Ribbon and the Pavilion attractions each keep their own seasonal hours and are individually ticketed - the skate ribbon runs as ice in winter and as a roller and events surface in summer. Check individual attraction hours; the park itself never closes to pedestrians.
