One of the largest National Register historic districts in the United States — roughly two and a half square miles of Jacksonville along the St. Johns, with something close to eighteen hundred contributing buildings in almost every American style built between 1900 and 1940. Five Points at one end and the Shoppes of Avondale at the other bookend the best walking in north Florida.
