Riverside State Park
Subnational Park · Nine Mile Falls, Washington
Ten thousand acres along the Spokane and Little Spokane rivers on the northwest edge of Spokane, and one of the largest state parks in Washington. Its centrepiece is the Bowl and Pitcher, a set of enormous basalt columns standing in the river below a swinging suspension footbridge built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. Elsewhere there are Ice Age flood channels, a preserved 1810s fur trade post site, and some of the best mountain biking and horse trails in the region.
9711 West Charles Road, Nine Mile Falls, Washington, 99026, United States
Open year round, 6:30 AM to dusk, with camping available much of the year. A Discover Pass is required to park. The park has SEVERAL SEPARATE ENTRANCES spread over many miles - Bowl and Pitcher, Deep Creek, Nine Mile and the ORV area each have their own access, and setting a satnav to "Riverside State Park" may not put you where you meant to go.
