Riversport Adventure Park
Oklahoma City Boathouse District Adventure Park; US Olympic And Paralympic Training Site · Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
The adventure park on the Oklahoma River in Oklahoma City, built around the Boathouse District that MAPS funding created and that USA Canoe/Kayak and USRowing adopted as a national training site, making a former industrial river into an Olympic and Paralympic training venue. The public side is an adventure park: a whitewater course with pumped rapids for rafting and kayaking, a six-storey adventure tower with free-fall drops, the Sky Trail ropes course, zip lines that cross the river, a slide called the Slide, the Sandridge Sky Zip and a climbing wall. Coaching sessions, rafting trips and flatwater rowing run alongside elite athletes in training. Sessions are sold as day passes, and the season is short: in 2026 the adventure park ran from 2 May, daily until 9 August, then Saturdays and Sundays only from 15 August to 27 September, after which the adventures close for the year. Rafting must be reserved, every person signs a waiver, and rafters must be at least eight years old and 55 pounds. The Trailhead Bike Park stays open free all year.
