Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home

Historic House · Dixon, Illinois

The rented house in Dixon where Ronald Reagan lived from 1920 to 1923, from the age of nine, and the one he consistently named when asked where he was from. It has been restored to how it looked then, down to the furniture and the wallpaper, and it is run by a small foundation rather than the federal government — which is why it is far quieter than any presidential library.

816 South Hennepin Avenue, Dixon, Illinois, 61021, United States

Seasonal and volunteer-run. Generally open daily in the warmer months with reduced or no winter hours. Check before travelling.
