Saint Louis Science Center

Science Museum · St. Louis, Missouri

One of the larger science centres in the United States - over seven hundred and fifty exhibits across three hundred thousand square feet - and free to enter, funded by the same regional tax district that keeps the zoo and the art museum free. It began as a planetarium in 1963, in a hyperboloid concrete building on the far side of the highway that is now connected to the main centre by a glass bridge over Interstate 64, from which visitors have been clocking passing traffic with radar guns for decades.

5050 Oakland Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri, 63110, United States

GENERAL ADMISSION IS FREE. Generally 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM with longer summer hours; check the current days, as it has run reduced weekday schedules.
