A hill of adobe and straw on the edge of the Salton Sea, painted over three decades by Leonard Knight with something close to half a million gallons of donated paint, carrying the words GOD IS LOVE in letters visible from the road. He lived beside it in a truck until 2011 and it has been kept up by volunteers since he died.
