San Francisco Botanical Garden

Botanical Garden · San Francisco, California

Fifty-five acres in Golden Gate Park growing plants that survive almost nowhere else in the continental United States. San Francisco's cool, foggy summers reproduce the conditions of tropical mountain cloud forests, so the garden holds Mesoamerican, Andean and Southeast Asian montane species that would die in any other American climate.

1199 9th Avenue, San Francisco, California, 94122, United States

Daily, typically 7:30 AM - 6 PM in summer, shorter in winter. Free before 9 AM.
