Santa Claus House
Family Owned Christmas Shop And Roadside Landmark · North Pole, Alaska
A Christmas shop and roadside landmark in the town of North Pole, about 15 miles south-east of Fairbanks, founded in 1952 by Con and Nellie Miller as a trading post in a town named to attract toy makers. A giant fibreglass Santa statue stands outside the red-and-white building, and inside, rooms of ornaments, toys and decorations sell Christmas all year. Visitors meet Santa, buy personalised Letters from Santa postmarked from North Pole, and step into the pen with Santa's reindeer team at Antler Academy next door. Newer additions include places to eat and more shopping. In 2026 the house opened daily 10 AM-7 PM from 25 May to 13 September and 10 AM-6 PM from 14 September to 31 December, closing on Thanksgiving and 25-27 December. Antler Academy cost $8 for adults and $6 for children, with tours every half hour in summer.
