Saratoga Hobo Hot Pool
Town Owned Public Hot Pool · Saratoga, Wyoming
A free, town-run hot pool beside the North Platte River in Saratoga, where mineral water rises into a small concrete soaking pool hot enough that most people last only a few minutes. A larger swimming pool opens next to it in summer, and at the river's edge people sit in rock pools where hot springs meet the cold North Platte. It is the traditional end to a day on the Snowy Range Scenic Byway. The Town of Saratoga runs it free, 24 hours a day, every day of the year, on the bank of the North Platte River. The water comes out well over 100°F, and a seasonal town swimming pool sits next door. The town also has a private hot-springs resort with its own pools, plus fly-fishing outfitters and a small historic main street, and it makes a natural end to a drive over the Snowy Range.
