Segerstrom Center for the Arts
Concert Hall · Costa Mesa, California
Orange County's performing arts complex in Costa Mesa, built on land the Segerstrom family farmed lima beans on until the 1960s. Its 2006 concert hall by César Pelli, with acoustics by Russell Johnson, is one of the very few halls in the United States built with adjustable acoustic chambers — the room is physically retuned for the piece being played.
600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa, California, 92626, United States
Performance schedule, roughly September to June. Free building tours on a limited weekday schedule.
