Seven Mile Bridge

Iconic Bridge · Marathon, Florida

The longest span on the Overseas Highway, carrying US 1 for nearly seven miles across open water between Marathon and the Lower Keys with the Atlantic on one side and the Gulf on the other. Alongside it stands the original — Henry Flagler's 1912 railroad bridge, abandoned since the 1935 hurricane, with a restored two-mile section now open to walk out to Pigeon Key.

Overseas Highway, Mile Marker 47, Marathon, Florida, 33050, United States

The highway is open 24 hours year-round. The restored old-bridge walking section is open daily during daylight hours.
