Shipshewana Auction and Flea Market

Flea Market · Shipshewana, Indiana

An open-air market of around nine hundred outdoor stalls running every Tuesday and Wednesday from May to September in Shipshewana, generally described as the largest flea market in the Midwest. It grew out of a livestock auction started in 1922, and the antique and livestock auctions still run year-round alongside it in the auction barns. The market itself is a commercial operation aimed squarely at the coach trade rather than an Amish institution, which is worth understanding before you arrive.

345 South Van Buren Street, Shipshewana, Indiana, 46565, United States

The outdoor flea market runs Tuesdays and Wednesdays only, May to September. The antique and livestock auctions run year-round in the barns on their own schedules. Closed Sundays, as is the whole town.
