Sid Richardson Museum

Art Museum · Fort Worth, Texas

A single-room museum on Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth holding the Western paintings an oilman bought for himself — Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell in depth, in a collection small enough to see properly in forty minutes. It is free, it is open most days, and it is the least demanding great thing in the city.

309 Main Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76102, United States

⚠ FREE ADMISSION with nothing to book. ⚠ I COULD NOT VERIFY CURRENT HOURS — check sidrichardsonmuseum.org, and note that small downtown museums commonly close one or two days a week. One room, forty minutes, on Sundance Square. ⚠ Pair it with the Amon Carter Museum, also free, which holds the other great Remington and Russell collection in the same city.
