Silver Springs State Park
Florida State Park · Silver Springs, Florida
The spring that invented Florida tourism. Glass bottom boats have run here since the 1870s, making it one of the oldest continuously operating tourist attractions in the United States, and the water beneath them is clear enough that the boats appear to float on air. Six Tarzan films and the underwater sequences for Sea Hunt were shot here, and the state took the whole attraction over as a park in 2013.
5656 East Silver Springs Boulevard, Silver Springs, Florida, 34488, United States
Park open 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. Glass bottom boats run on their own daily schedule, weather permitting.
