Snow King Mountain

Town Ski Hill · Jackson, Wyoming

The steep ski hill rising straight from the south edge of Jackson, opened in 1939 and the oldest ski area in Wyoming. Locals call it the Town Hill: short, steep runs with evening skiing on some nights, far cheaper than Teton Village, and a summit gondola to a viewpoint over the town, the valley and the Tetons. In summer it adds a mountain coaster, zip lines, a ropes course and a steep summit trail that half of Jackson uses for exercise. In 2026 a round-trip gondola ride cost $30 and ran from about 9 AM to 4 PM, and the Big King Ultimate pass was $220. The mountain also hosts the World Championship Snowmobile Hillclimb each March, and the summit has views across Jackson Hole to the Tetons. Because it rises straight out of town, locals use it for quick laps, evening skiing and summer hikes.
