Sphere
Spherical Entertainment Venue Opened In 2023; The Exosphere Is Often Described As The Largest LED Screen In The World · Las Vegas, Nevada
Sphere is a spherical entertainment venue just east of The Venetian, off the Las Vegas Strip, that opened in 2023 with a U2 residency. From the outside it is the Exosphere, a globe wrapped in programmable LEDs that is often described as the largest LED screen in the world; it shows giant eyeballs, emojis, planets, holiday scenes and paid advertising, and it can be seen free from much of the Strip and the valley. Inside, a steeply raked bowl faces a curved screen that wraps up and over the audience, filling most of your field of view, backed by a sound system built to put clear audio at every seat and seats that can vibrate with the action. There are two kinds of tickets: concert residencies by major touring acts, and the Sphere Experience, a film screening such as Postcard from Earth or The Wizard of Oz at Sphere, with an atrium of exhibits beforehand. Tickets are expensive and priced dynamically, security is strict, and parking is at The Venetian. People come for the room itself as much as for whoever is playing, which is why it is filed here as a venue.

NO OPENING TIME HERE WAS CHECKED. The typical pattern: Sphere has no daily opening hours; the doors open for ticketed events only, with Sphere Experience film screenings several times a day from late morning or afternoon into the evening, and concerts in the evening on residency dates, doors about an hour or more before start. The Exosphere is lit from dusk to late night most days. The traps that ruin a visit are arriving at the printed start time and missing the atrium or being held at the door, buying a ticket for the wrong film, expecting parking at Sphere, and waiting at the curb for a surge-priced ride after a concert. Confirm current times before relying on them.
