Springfield Museums

Specialty Museum · Springfield, Massachusetts

Five museums around a single green quadrangle in Springfield, all covered by one ticket: two art museums, a science museum, a history museum, and — since 2017 — the Amazing World of Dr. Seuss, in the city where Theodor Geisel was born in 1904 and which supplied a good deal of what he drew. Between them sits the Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden, which is free, outdoors and open to anyone walking past.

21 Edwards Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, 01103, United States

One ticket covers all five museums for the day. Open most days with some off-season weekday closures; check before travelling. Springfield residents enter free with proof of address. THE DR. SEUSS NATIONAL MEMORIAL SCULPTURE GARDEN IS FREE, OUTDOORS AND ALWAYS OPEN with no ticket. Planetarium shows run to a timed schedule with limited seats. Modest charged parking in the museums' lot.
