Squire Boone Caverns
Show Cave · Corydon, Indiana
A show cave in Harrison County discovered in 1790 by Squire Boone, younger brother of Daniel, who according to the family story hid in it from pursuing Native Americans and later built a mill above it and asked to be buried inside. His remains are in the cave. The tour is wetter and more active than the other southern Indiana show caves — running water throughout, a waterfall and dense rimstone dams — and there is a village of craft demonstrations and a working gristmill above ground.

The cave generally operates year-round on a rotating tour schedule with reduced winter hours. The above-ground village, gristmill and adventure attractions run a much shorter season, mainly summer. Check what is open before travelling.
