Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park
Florida State Park · White Springs, Florida
A state park on the Suwannee River honouring the composer of Old Folks at Home, Florida's state song — which Stephen Foster wrote in 1851 about a river he never saw and whose name he found on a map. A 97-bell carillon plays his music across the grounds on the hour, and the park has become the working centre of Florida folk traditions, hosting the Florida Folk Festival every Memorial Day weekend.
11016 Lillian Saunders Drive, White Springs, Florida, 32096, United States
Open 8:00 a.m. until sundown, 365 days a year. The museum and craft square keep shorter hours, roughly 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
