Steppenwolf Theatre Company
Theater · Chicago, Illinois
Founded in 1974 in a church basement in Highland Park by three young actors, and now the company that defined a whole American acting style — physical, confrontational, ensemble-driven. Its members have included John Malkovich, Gary Sinise, Laurie Metcalf, John Mahoney and Michael Shannon, and a striking number of them still come back to work on this stage.
1650 North Halsted Street, Chicago, Illinois, 60614, United States
Performance schedule, roughly September to August. Box office and Front Bar keep their own hours.
