Stinson Beach
Beach · Stinson Beach, California
Three and a half miles of sand an hour north of San Francisco, below Mount Tamalpais and reached by one of the most nauseating stretches of road in California. It is the Bay Area's closest thing to a proper swimming beach — and it sits inside the Red Triangle, where great white sharks are a documented and occasionally realised risk.
