Suwannee River State Park

Florida State Park · Live Oak, Florida

The confluence of the Withlacoochee and the Suwannee, with high limestone banks, Confederate earthworks dug to defend a railway bridge, and one of the oldest cemeteries in the region. The Suwannee is the river Stephen Foster made famous without ever seeing it, and this is one of the best places to stand above it.
