Symphony Center
Concert Hall · Chicago, Illinois
Orchestra Hall on Michigan Avenue, built in 1904 to Daniel Burnham's design as a permanent home for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and a National Historic Landmark since 1994. The façade is deep pink brick and white limestone with the names of five composers cut into a band above the second floor, and the orchestra inside it is one of the small handful that the rest of the world argues about ranking.
