Table Rock State Park

State Park · Pickens, South Carolina

One of the South Carolina state parks built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, opened to the public in April 1938 and still using the buildings the Corps left, including a lodge, a bathhouse and nine of its fourteen cabins, listed as a historic district on the National Register in 1989. It sits beneath the granite face of Table Rock Mountain, and the trail up it is the hardest day hike most South Carolinians ever attempt.
