National Historic Landmark — UNESCO World Heritage Site · Spring Green, Wisconsin
Frank Lloyd Wright's own home, studio and estate in the Wisconsin River valley his mother's family settled, built from 1911 and rebuilt twice after fires that destroyed the living quarters in 1914 and 1925. The 800-acre property holds five Wright-designed buildings, including the Hillside School he built for his aunts in 1902 and the studio where he worked for nearly half a century. In 2019 it was inscribed by UNESCO as one of eight components of The 20th-Century Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, the only World Heritage listing in Wisconsin.
