The Brinton Museum

Non Profit Museum On The Quarter Circle A Ranch · Big Horn, Wyoming

An art museum on the historic Quarter Circle A Ranch at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains south of Sheridan, combining the ranch house kept much as the collector Bradford Brinton left it with a modern gallery building opened in 2015. Its collection centres on Western art, including Charles M. Russell and Frederic Remington, and on American Indian art and objects, and the views across the ranch to the mountains are part of the visit. It stands on the Quarter Circle A Ranch, which Bradford Brinton bought in 1923. The museum opened in 1961, and the Forrest E. Mars Jr. Building added modern galleries in 2015. The grounds face the Bighorn Mountains in the polo country around Big Horn.
