The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
Casino Resort On The Las Vegas Strip, Opened 2010, Known For The Chandelier Bar And Its Terrace Views Of The Bellagio Fountains · Las Vegas, Nevada
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is a casino resort in the middle of the Strip, squeezed between Bellagio to the north and the CityCenter complex around Aria to the south. It opened at the end of 2010 on a small plot, so its towers rise straight up from a compact podium where the casino, bars, restaurants and pool are stacked on several floors, and many hotel rooms have private terraces, rare on the Strip, with the north side looking straight down onto the Bellagio fountains. Visitors who are not staying come for The Chandelier, a three-level bar built inside a vast curtain of glass beads, for the Wicked Spoon buffet and a long list of restaurants, for the unmarked corridor that leads to a pizza counter known as Secret Pizza, for the Marquee nightclub and dayclub, and for the Boulevard Pool deck above the Strip. It is not a family resort with rides or free shows; it is a place to eat, drink, dress up a little and look out over the Strip, and it rewards an evening more than a daytime walk-through.

NO OPENING TIME HERE WAS CHECKED. The typical pattern: the casino, lobby and many bars are open around the clock every day of the year, The Chandelier runs from afternoon or evening to the early hours, Secret Pizza keeps late hours but not all night, the Wicked Spoon serves set brunch and dinner services with gaps between them, Marquee nightclub opens only on its club nights from late evening, the dayclub and the Boulevard Pool are seasonal with shorter or no winter hours, and restaurants each keep their own schedule with some closed early in the week. The traps that ruin a day are arriving at Marquee on a night it is closed, expecting the dayclub or pool in winter, turning up for Sunday brunch without a booking, and discovering the resort fee and parking at checkout. Confirm current times before relying on them.
