A 1950 Miami Modern theatre on Washington Avenue that spent the 1960s as the studio where The Jackie Gleason Show was filmed — the reason a generation of Americans grew up hearing Miami Beach described as "the sun and fun capital of the world" every week. It is now a Live Nation music room, and the building has kept its name, its curves and its terrazzo.
