Tampa's aquarium on the Channelside waterfront, built around the idea of following a drop of water from a Florida spring to the open Gulf — the galleries move through wetland, bay, coral reef and ocean in that order. Its coral conservation programme has achieved reproduction of Atlantic pillar coral in a laboratory, which had never been done before.
