The Gamble House
Historic House · Pasadena, California
The finest surviving example of American Arts and Crafts architecture, built in 1908 by Charles and Henry Greene for David and Mary Gamble of Procter and Gamble. Every joint, light fitting, rug and piece of furniture was designed for its exact position in the house, and the front door carries a Tiffany-glass California live oak spreading across three panels.
