An outdoor shopping and dining district built in 2002 next to the 1934 Original Farmers Market, with a dancing fountain, a double-decker trolley running its length and a deliberately theatrical main street. It is a shopping centre pretending to be a town square, and it does it well enough that Angelenos use it as one.
