The Muny
Amphitheater · St. Louis, Missouri
An 11,000-seat outdoor theatre in Forest Park that has staged a season of musicals every summer since 1917, making it one of the longest continuously running theatres of its kind in America. About 1,500 seats in the last nine rows are free every single night, first-come and first-served, an arrangement that has held for over a century - which means a family can see professional musical theatre in a theatre this size for nothing, provided they queue.
