The Oregon Garden
Botanical Garden · Silverton, Oregon
A hundred and eighty acres of botanical garden at Silverton, opened in 1999 and laid out as roughly twenty separate gardens - a rose garden, a conifer garden, a children's garden, a wetland system that actually treats the town's water. The oldest thing in it is the Signature Oak, a white oak of around four hundred years. On the grounds sits the Gordon House, the only building in Oregon designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, moved here in 2001 to save it from demolition.
879 West Main Street, Silverton, Oregon, 97381, United States
Open daily year round with seasonal hours, generally from mid-morning, and a moderate admission with free parking. ⚠ THE GORDON HOUSE - the only Frank Lloyd Wright building in Oregon - IS A SEPARATE ORGANISATION WITH A SEPARATE TICKET, toured on a published schedule with limited places, and is NOT included in garden admission. ⚠ THE CHRISTMAS LIGHT DISPLAY in late November and December is separately ticketed, is the busiest period of the year and sells out. There is very little of the garden under cover, which matters in a Willamette Valley winter.
