Started in 1934 when a dozen farmers parked their trucks on an empty field at Third and Fairfax and sold produce off the tailgates. It never left. Over a hundred stalls now sit under the same open-sided sheds and green awnings, several run by the third generation of the same family, with the Grove shopping centre grafted onto one side in 2002.
