A 1936 Cunard ocean liner permanently berthed in Long Beach, larger than the Titanic and considerably faster, which carried well over a hundred thousand troops during the Second World War as a grey-painted transport. She has been a hotel since 1971, so unlike almost any other historic ship you can sleep in an original first-class stateroom.
