The Ringling

Sixty-six acres on Sarasota Bay holding the State Art Museum of Florida, a circus museum and a Venetian Gothic mansion, all left to the state by John Ringling of the circus. The art museum was built around his own collection and holds a set of Rubens cartoons that would anchor a European national gallery, which is not what anyone expects to find at the end of a Florida driveway.
